With all the political maneuvering in the Likud it appears Benyamin Netanyahu will become finance minister with expanded powers while Sylvan Shalom will move over to the foreign ministry. Shalom his never really dealt in diplomacy and his relevance is limited since all major issues between Israel and the US are handled directly by PM Ariel Sharon. As for Europe and much of the rest of the world the only diplomat worth speaking of is Shimon Peres who is stuck in the Labor opposition.
